Teaching Reform and Exploration of the Course“Introduction to Earth Sciences” in the Construction of First-Class Undergraduate Specialty

Abstract: “Introduction to Earth Sciences” is the first professional basic course for students in university who are majored in Geology, with great significance in course construction and teaching reform. Our course team follows the concept of studentcentered teaching, respects students’ subjectivity, adheres to the course objectives, enriches teaching materials resources, expands teaching space and improves teaching quality. Our team adopts the modes of online and offline mixed small class teaching, seminar, in class and field practice, and we are primarily focused on students’ participation and strengthen the cultivation of comprehensive quality. This course is to condense the national feelings and scientific and technological achievements, and to realize the organic unity of value guidance, knowledge education and ability training.
