Abstract: Teaching in English has been implemented in many colleges and universities in order to achieve internationalization of higher education. Since the autumn of 2018, China University of Petroleum-Beijing has begun to recruit international students and implemented English teaching for this class. As such, we started all-English teaching of both theory and field practice of Physical Geology. This paper summarized the experience of all-English teaching for international students, most of whose mother language is not English, and explored the teaching mode and assessment mode. We hope this paper can provide a better way to conduct the all-English teaching mode of Physical Geology in other geological colleges or universities.
